Dallas will see ‘seasonably hot’ temperatures this weekend, slightly hotter next week

There is a chance of isolated thunderstorms around Waco, but most areas are expected to stay dry.

Summer is in full swing, but temperatures are expected to stay within normal ranges this weekend across the Dallas-Fort Worth area, according to the National Weather Service.

The weather service’s Fort Worth office said temperatures Friday and Saturday will be “seasonably hot,” with lows around 80 degrees and highs a few degrees below 100. There is a chance of isolated thunderstorms south of the metro area, but most locations are expected to remain dry.

The North Texas region is not under a heat advisory, but one is in place further east for the counties around Houston. The city is still recovering from the landfall of Hurricane Beryl earlier this week and about 875,000 customers are still without power as of 9 a.m. Friday, according to the CenterPoint outage tracker.
