Volume 22 of Hideyuki Kikuchi and Yoshitaka Amano’s long-running series comprises a two-part story…originally published in Japan with a five-month gap between installments, which must have driven fans crazy. But you get them both in one volume, on sale this week! 
White Devil Mountain is the story of the profoundly evil and ancient Duke Gilzen, a vampire so monstrous that even other vampires oppose him. It makes for an unusual adventure for D, as he takes charge of a group of travelers tasked with locating and transporting the coffin containing Gilzen’s body. 
Familiar elements are there, of course; D finds himself joined on his quest by a wily assassin with a quick blade and a smart-aleck attitude, a kid searching for his lost father, a medical doctor, and a beautiful young woman bounty hunter with a chip on her shoulder. But neither his companions, nor the demon spirit embedded in his left hand can overcome the challenge of White Devil Mountain—steep, jagged, and buffeted by snow and wind—if D can’t win against it, no one else stands a chance…!
