Garbage tours for 20th anniversary of debut album

Grungy, electro-pop band Garbage will hit the road in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the group’s self-titled debut album. The band will play “Garbage” — which included the songs “Queer,” “Only Happy When It Rains,” “Vow” and “Stupid Girl” — in its entirety for this tour. The Detroit date lands at Royal Oak Music Theatre on Oct. 19. Tickets, $39.50 and up, go on sale Friday.

Detroit blues musician Garfield Angove dies

Garfield Angove, a veteran of the Detroit blues scene who was known for his authentic Chicago blues style, died Friday at the Detroit Medical Center. His friend, blue stalwart R.J. Spangler, who played drums for him for years, was there and reports that Angove, 65, died of congestive heart failure. Survivors include his mother; Paula, his wife of 40 years; and a son, Garfield Angove Jr., who is a chef in the Far East. There is a benefit gig planned for Callahan’s in Auburn Hills on July 19 to help with Angove’s medical expenses, now it will also be a celebration of his life, featuring Jimmy McCarty and Mystery Train, and Angove’s group, the Millionaires.

Chris Brown, Weezer, Lynyrd Skynyrd, more coming

The lineup for this year’s Chill on the Hill at Freedom Hill was revealed this week. Weezer and Panic! at the Disco will headline Sept. 12, and Cage the Elephant, Coheed & Cambria and Detroit’s Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jr. are the big names on Sept. 13. Tickets, $29.89 and up, go on sale Friday. Also announced, Chris Brown plays DTE Energy Music Theatre Aug. 16. Tickets are $29.50 lawn, $39.50-$129.50 pavilion and go on sale Friday. Lynyrd Skynyrd are also coming to DTE Energy Music Theatre. Tickets for the Aug. 29 concert also go on sale Friday and cost $16 for lawn and $21-$66 pavilion.

‘Voice’ contestant Anthony Riley found dead

Former contestant of “The Voice,” Anthony Riley, 28, was found dead from apparent suicide Friday. The Philadelphia street performer left the singing competition show in January to deal with addiction.

■Police had to be called to escort supermodel Kate Moss off an airplane in London on Sunday because of her “disruptive” behavior. According to the Guardian, a police spokesperson confirmed that the 41-year-old model was not arrested.

■Victoria Siegel — the 18-year-old daughter of Florida timeshare moguls David and Jackie Siegel — died at the family’s mansion Saturday. Her parents were made famous by the 2012 documentary “Queen of Versailles,” which followed the family through their financial struggle to build a 90,000-square-foot mega home.
