It would be the first Beilein father-son coaching matchup this fall when Michigan's John Beilein hosts son Patrick Beilein and LeMoyne at Crisler Center.

Patrick, who last month was named head coach at Division II LeMoyne — where John coached from 1983-92 and built a 163-94 record — hinted via Twitter on Sunday that the teams would face off this season.

The tweet was later deleted.

LeMoyne is a member of the Northeast-10 Conference and the matchup could be an exhibition for both teams. Michigan is expected to release its full non-conference schedule in the coming weeks.

John is entering his ninth season with the Wolverines and would be facing Patrick for the first time as coaches. Patrick was a director of basketball operations for Bradley in 2011, when UM and Bradley met, and the Wolverines won easily, 77-66.

Michigan senior Spike Albrecht responded to Beilein's tweet with an acknowledgment of his own, calling it a "Father/Son matchup for the ages!"

Last season, Michigan finished 16-16 overall and 8-10 in the Big Ten, and did not make the NCAA Tournament or the NIT for the first time since 2010. The Wolverines return seniors Albrecht and Caris LeVert, along with a talented group of sophomores.
