Douglas County Purchasing now only accepts online electronic bids through our IonWave website. Douglas County Purchasing no longer accepts paper bids for bid solicitations.
All suppliers interested in doing business with the City of Omaha and Douglas County must register with the new online system to receive communications when bid events are issued. Registration is live and free: click here to register.

Effective July 3, 2023, bid solicitations will stop being published on this website and will only be published on the new Douglas County IonWave website.
Once registered, suppliers will receive email notifications when a new bid event matching their commodity code(s) has been issued. Suppliers will also have the ability to log in to this system to view and respond to bid events issued by the City of Omaha and Douglas County.

- Quotes - The Purchasing Department may elect to obtain written quotes using the following thresholds:
- City of Omaha: for expenses under $20,000.00
- Douglas County: for expenses under $50,000.00
- Bids and Proposal Requests - The Purchasing Department is required to obtain formal written bids using the following thresholds:
- City of Omaha: for expenses $20,000.00 or more
- Douglas County: for expenses $50,000.00 or more
