Reviews for Tree of Wonder
10 ratings1 review
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The book begins by talking about the Almendro tree which can be found in the rain forest. It includes a story line throughout the book about the creatures found within this tree, each page introduces a new creature with facts and illustrations. Every new creature is doubled in number of population of the creature before it. Example: It begins with one Almendro tree, then talks about the two great green macaws that inhabit it, and next the four keel-billed toucans. It includes icon pictures to the right to help students visualize the numbers up to 1,024 leaf cutter ants. The end of the book includes more information on the Almendro tree, different leveled math questions to go along with the story, and a list of books to read and a video to watch to learn more about the rain forest.
