First Man release: Claire Foy cosies up to Ryan Gosling as she leaves The Crown behind
FIRST MAN star Claire Foy reunited with her co-star Ryan Gosling at the movie’s premiere as part of the Venice Film Festival 2018’s opening ceremony last night, and she looked a world away from The Crown.

Claire Foy, who played Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown, turned heads in an usual gown at the First Man screening during the 75th Venice Film Festival at Sala Grande.
The actress posed alongside Ryan Gosling as well as her other colleagues Jason Clark, Olivia Hamilton and Damien Chazelle.
Wearing her short, dark tresses slicked back, the 34-year-old chose a striking red and pink dress to make her grand entrance.
The Netflix star stood out from the crowd on the red carpet as she beamed at the world’s media and promoted her first big role since leaving The Crown.
Claire kept her pins hidden under the pastel frock, which was cinched in at the waist and featured a sleeveless design.
However, her get-up featured what appeared to be a fringed, red shawl across her shoulders, and which touched the floor as she walked inside.
She polished off her attire with towering silver heels, which tied across her foot, as well as lashings of eye make-up.
The British beauty was seen chatting with her companions before watching the drama/adventure.
First Man, which will be released in October, follows NASA’s mission to land a man on the moon.
The biographical blockbuster focuses on Neil Armstrong (played by Ryan) back in the 1960s as he worked towards the Apollo 11 mission.
Claire stars as Janet Shearon, astronaut Neil’s first wife, in the movie, which has been directed by Damien, 33.
Ryan, 37, pulled out all the stops in a white suit jacket and a matching tie, which he wore with black trousers.
Actress Olivia looked stunning in pale pink as she stood arm-in-arm with her film co-stars.
Her number featured a billowing, tulle skirt, while her underwear could be seen under an embroidered, sheer top.
Meanwhile, Claire was later seen out in Venice the following morning, this time sporting a floral black dress.

Her toned figure was impossible to miss in the chic offering, which featured a halterneck and tie detailing on her middle.
It comes as her The Crown replacement Olivia Colman was also pictured at the Venice Film Festival.
The 44-year-old will take over from Claire as the Queen in the period drama, portraying the royal later in life.
Today she was seen all in black at the Lido Beach, where she is promoting The Favourite.
The Crown season three is expected to air on Netflix next year.
