Jackson's home will not be opened to the public
The California house where MICHAEL JACKSON died in June (09) will remain a private residence - the new owner has been unable to obtain authorisation to turn the property into a shrine to the star.
French designer Christian Audigier recently finalised the purchase of the Holmby Hills home, which Jackson had rented from one of the fashion boss' associates.
The King of Pop passed away at the property on 25 June (09) and Audigier subsequently made arrangements to buy the house, with plans to turn the building into a museum and open it up to the public.
The Ed Hardy creator will be handed the keys to the property in mid-September (09), but he has been denied permission from local authorities to make it a public space, according to his spokeswoman Michele Elyzabeth.
Jackson was buried on Thursday night (03Sep09) in Glendale, California - 10 weeks after his tragic death.
