'It's been lovely' Dan Walker bids farewell to BBC colleague after 'last time in studio'
DAN WALKER issued a farewell to his BBC colleague as he wrapped up the BBC Olympics coverage and he "stepped into the studio for the last time".

BBC Breakfast host Dan Walker, 44, said goodbye to his colleague JJ Chalmers who presented the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. The 34-year-old shared his joy at being a part of the broadcasting team as the Olympic Games came to an end.
Japan held the closing ceremony as the world's nations bid farewell to the Games until its return in 2024.
Invictus Games medallist JJ offered a heartfelt message as he took to Twitter.
In view of his 20,000 followers, he penned: "Stepping into the studio for the last time for #Tokyo2020.
"It’s been a Marathon and that’s exactly what we’ve got for you tonight on @BBCOne from 2230. Enjoy. #BBCOlympics #OlympicGames."

Dan was one of the first to reply as he offered some kind words to his colleague.
"Go well big man. It’s been lovely to see you every morning at 5am," the BBC Breakfast host tweeted.
Dan has also been hosting the BBC's Olympics morning coverage over the last 16 days with his co-star Sam Quek.
She recently shared a sweet message after the pair finished their show at the weekend.
In view of her 195,000 followers, Sam posted a black and white selfie with her co-star, of them both pulling sad-looking faces.
"One more #OlympicBreakfast to go, but that was my last with @mrdanwalker", she wrote.
The star went on to thank her colleague for passing on his knowledge and being patient as she got to grips with the show.
Sam continued: "I just wanted to say a huge THANK-YOU to Dan.

"I’ve learnt more than I could have ever imagined because you’ve been so generous with your patience, time & feedback.
"It’s been a privilege & SO much fun!" she ended her tweet.
Reposting Sam’s message, Dan responded, adding he is convinced the former Olympian will be in line to present the next games in Paris in three years time.
He wrote: "You’ve been great to work with Sam and a proper laugh too.
"Just bring me with you when you get the gig for Paris in 2024," he finished, before adding the hashtag, "#QueksCoattails."
Meanwhile, Dan was absent from his regular slot on BBC Breakfast today, as his colleague Jon Kay stepped in.
It comes as the programme was off-air during the coverage of the Tokyo Olympics.
Jon was joined by Louise Minchin who made a return to the Breakfast sofa.
BBC Breakfast airs daily on BBC One at 6am.
