Jay Jay Phillips dead: America's Got Talent star dies at 30 of Covid after mum finds body
AMERICA'S GOT TALENT star Jay Jay Phillips has died aged 30, it has been confirmed.
America's Got Talent star Jay Jay Phillips has died from coronavirus. The 30-year-old contracted Covid last month, a family member of the heavy-metal keyboardist has confirmed, and was discovered by his mother who had been checking on him while he was isolating with the virus.
It has been reported that the musician's mother found his body after he took a "turn for the worse" over the Thanksgiving period.
The keyboardist's family had reportedly urged Jay Jay to seek medical treatment.
But the performer had instead insisted that he needed to sleep and rest more.
The star's family continued to check on him amid his illness while he was isolating.

According to TMZ, the keyboardist's mother and girlfriend went to check on him after not hearing back from the star after November 24.
But while visiting him, they discovered that he had died after contracting the virus.
Following the devastating news, Jay Jay's family have confirmed that he had yet to receive his vaccine.
The star had been planning to get vaccinated against Covid, but fell ill before receiving his first jab.
Tragically, the America's Got Talent star's father also fell ill with the virus.
He is now in hospital receiving treatment and is breathing with the help of a ventilator.
Following Jay Jay's tragic death, the star's band took to Instagram to break the news.
They wrote: "It is with great sadness we inform you all of the loss of our bandmate/brother/and friend @jayjayrocks.

"It still doesn’t feel real and we would give anything to change it.
"Please respect the family, as well as our wishes as we take our time to grieve and process this detrimental loss," they added.
The statement continued: "We miss you brother, every second of every minute, of every day.
"Thank you for teaching us all to laugh a little more.
"Rock in Paradise," the post ended.
Jay Jay appeared on season four of America's Got Talent in 2009.
The heavy-metal keyboardist was eliminated early from the show.
However, he made a comeback in 2017, but was again voted off ahead of the quarter finals.
