Michael Sheen's parents donate his suits to charity
HOLLYWOOD star Michael Sheen's mum and dad have donated his suits to a charity shop - with a starting price of 99p.
Some of the 52-year-old actor’s outfits have fetched more than £500 in an online auction in aid of the British Heart Foundation. It is a thank you after dad Meyrick, 82, had life-saving bypass surgery.
Mum Irene, 79, said: “He asked us to find a good cause to donate them to.”
Staff at the BHF shop in Michael’s home town of Port Talbot, South Wales, were delighted with the donations. Manager Anne Evans said: “We know Meyrick and Irene very well and were thrilled when they turned up with these items.”
The suits, which are being auctioned on eBay, include Peter Werth, Banana Republic, Zara and Club Monaco labels.
It comes after dad-of-two Michael pledged to use earnings to fund social projects as a “not-for-profit actor”.
