Truce after Michael Jackson's dad blames wife for death
MICHAEL Jackson’s parents put on a united front as they attended a Los Angeles court hearing which let the singer’s doctor continue to practice.
Despite a bitter feud between them over the star’s death last year, Joe and Katherine Jackson arrived together with their children Jermaine, Randy and LaToya.
The judge ruled late on Monday that Dr Conrad Murray can carry on despite facing an involuntary manslaughter charge over the singer’s death at 50.
Officials wanted his licence to be revoked ahead of his trial in August but Judge Michael Pastor ruled he did not have the authority to do it.
Over the weekend the Thriller singer’s father said he blamed Katherine, 80, for their son’s death because she didn’t make him seek help for his prescription drugs addiction. He said she did not want to step in for fear of invading his privacy. Yesterday she condemned her estranged husband’s comments as “outrageous.”
Her lawyer said: “She has always been a loving and caring mother.” Jackson died in June last year a month before a UK comeback tour.
