Gethin Jones 'in tears' as he issues mental health plea to viewers
This week, Morning Live presenter Gethin Jones shared a video of himself shedding a few tears to the BBC programme’s official Twitter account.
The 46-year-old can be seen walking around the city speaking candidly into the camera about showing your emotions. With his hand over his mouth, he confessed: “It’s a lot.
“Just having a few tears, just to make myself feel better because I’ve been out and about asking people about crying, cry-maxing. Are you a ‘cry-maxer’? Does crying make you feel good?”
Gethin told fans that a recent study shows that crying does make people feel better. He went on to explain that it lets out stress and emotions.
He asked: “Does that work for you? Or are you someone who bottles it up inside? Please let us know. I’ve got to go.”

It wasn’t long before people commented on the short clip, giving their thoughts on the recent study.
One social media user said: “I love a cry. I always feel much better afterwards. it’s such a release and I have much clearer thoughts after a cry followed by some deep breaths!!!”
Another added: “Realised I cry too much when someone on the TV was crying and the dog rushed over because she thought it was me!!”
Taking a cheeky jibe at the presenter, another follower said: “This made me cry with laughter sorry Geth.”

The presenter also re-shared the clip onto his own account, seeming to poke fun at himself.

Gethin’s emotional clip comes days after he revealed getting a spontaneous tattoo in honour of his BBC colleague and Dragons’ Den star, Sara Davies.
The business mogul threw a huge 40th birthday bash, called FortyFest, which saw guests being treated to festival-type celebrations with a bar, photo booth, dessert bars and a fun zone.
However, it seems as though Gethin had a few regrets after attending the bash as he shared an image of his forearm with the words “S.D 40.” inked on.
Sharing the image on his Instagram story, he wrote: "Seemed like a good idea at the time..."
Sara re-shared the snap as she wrote: "When someone loves you enough to tattoo you on their arm... (watch the following story for some context...)”
