James Corden fan spills what star was really like at airport as 'frustrated' pics emerge

Former American talk show host James Corden has been snapped looking annoyed after he was delayed for several hours on a flight from Portugal.

James Corden was spotted looking frustrated during a discussion with an airport staff member in Portugal after lengthy delays impacted his flight back to London.

According to eyewitnesses, the Gavin & Stacey star was told to line up in the wrong queue during a delay of around seven hours.

Metro reported that hundreds of passengers were delayed when a flight to London returned to Lisbon after 30 minutes.

Flyers were reportedly told to wait for an emergency landing. However, once in Lisbon, they were made to wait for hours before being returned to a terminal with no information.

Once there, they were left waiting for hours longer before the flight was eventually moved to the next day.

A source told Express Online: “There was no altercation with staff. James is in conversation trying to find out what is happening after a difficult experience.

“James, who was traveling with his young family, happily took selfies and chatted with other passengers throughout the experience.”

It’s no surprise that the Gavin & Stacey star, 45, grew frustrated with the situation, however, the airport upset follows a number of claims about his attitude.

The former host of The Late Late Show was temporarily banned from a restaurant for allegedly being “extremely nasty” to servers back in 2022.

Mel B of the Spice Girls even claimed he is the “biggest d***head celebrity”, and he’s also faced criticism from the likes of Ricky Gervais and Pierce Brosnan.

Speaking after the New York restaurant incident, he told the New York Times: “I haven’t done anything wrong, on any level. So why would I ever cancel this? I was there.

“I get it. I feel so Zen about the whole thing. Because I think it’s so silly.

“I just think it’s beneath all of us. It’s beneath you. It’s certainly beneath your publication.”

A passenger who claimed to have met James on the flight also described him as "really nice" to fellow travellers, despite the gruelling delays.

Vanessa told the Metro: "He was just really nice, he would have been well within his rights to sit and sulk in his seat like the rest of us would be doing but he didn’t."

Fans have recently shared mixed opinions about the return of his classic BBC sitcom for a Gavin & Stacey Christmas special.

While some viewers are excited to see the story wrapped up after Nessa’s (played by Ruth Jones) shock proposal, others were less enthused.

Per Metro, responses included “the world does not need more James Corden”.

Although one X (formerly Twitter) user hilariously declared: “The dislike for james corden leaving my body when anything gavin & stacey related is announced.”
