Steph McGovern opens up about daughter in very rare insight as 'obsession' unveiled

Although Steph McGovern usually remains tight-lipped about her personal life, the TV presenter briefly opened up about her daughter.

Taking to Instagram, the former Packed Lunch host shared a radiant selfie from a car where she beamed and embraced the sunshine with a simple black vest top.

In the caption, she shared how her daughter is “obsessed” with a particular song that they enjoy singing together in the car.

The former Channel 4 star explained to her 126,000 followers: “Here comes the sun - my four-year-old is obsessed with this song and makes me play it on repeat EVERYTIME we get in the car.

“I have no idea how this all started but she knows all the words! Anyway, as much as it is doing my head in, I love our time together in the car singing!” (sic)

While the 42-year-old shares the occasional update on social media, she prefers to keep her family away from the limelight.

In an effort to keep her loved ones private, Steph hasn’t publically named her partner or daughter yet and always conceals their faces in any photos.

She previously opened up about her decision on Suzi Ruffel’s Out podcast.

Steph stated: “I just want to do my job and I know that my job comes under certain scrutiny, and profile.

“I just think that the less I talk about my private life, the less I can be asked about it.”

Although the identity of her long-term girlfriend remains under wraps, it was previously reported that she works as a TV executive.

Back in 2019, the presenter confirmed her daughter’s arrival by simply posting a photo of her silhouette.

It was hilariously captioned: “I have a newfound respect for parents. It's like you're living with a tiny dictator!”
