Outlander’s Sam Heughan teases Taylor Swift will ‘forget about Travis’ when she meets him

Outlander star Sam Heughan jokes Taylor Swift will forget all about her current boyfriend Travis Kelce when she sees him in the crowd this weekend.

The Midnights pop star is taking her Eras Tour to Edinburgh for three shows on Friday, Saturday and Sunday this week, and the Jamie Fraser star clearly couldn’t be more excited.

Taking to Instagram this week, Sam, 44, shared a video personally welcoming Taylor to Scotland.

It’s rumoured the star has already landed in the Highlands on Wednesday after a plane she owns was spotted touching down in Inverness.

Dressed in his full Jamie garb, including his signature ginger ponytail, the Starz lead revealed most of the show's cast will be in attendance at one of Taylor’s shows.

"She obviously doesn't know this, but when she comes to Scotland and she sees me in the audience, she's going to forget all about ... him [Travis Kelce] and fall for a man in a ginger wig,” he quipped.

Sam cheekily smiled and added: “How can she resist?”

Taking a further crack at the Kansas City Chiefs’ star tight-end, the actor went on: “She's going to shake him off and take me out instead. I'm really excited!”

The Scottish heartthrob is best known for acting alongside Caitriona Balfe in plenty of steamy scenes as Jamie and Claire Fraser in the hit series Outlander.

Sam keeps his personal life close to his chest, but in May last year he told People he was single after previously being linked to model Monika Clarke in 2022.

“I’ve done all of the gift-giving and turning up when least expected, but, so far, I’m still looking,” he said.

MailOnline later reported in April this year that Sam had signed up to the celebrity dating app Raya in hopes of finding love.

Meanwhile, Taylor’s relationship with the star American Footballer Travis is apparently still going strong, and millions of fans are even anticipating wedding bells to sound sometime soon.

Back in May, an insider told Entertainment Tonight: “Taylor and Travis are doing amazing, and their loved ones see an engagement coming sooner than later. They make a great match and there's no question about that.”

Although another source told Us Weekly soon after: “Travis has no plans on proposing to Taylor anytime soon. It’s not even on his radar.

“Marriage is something he takes very seriously and not something he would ever just jump into without giving it some careful consideration.”

Even so, it’s unlikely their relationship will be rocked by the appearance of a certain Scottish hunk in Edinburgh this weekend.
