Eamonn Holmes calls out woman he 'loves and adores' in sweet post after Ruth split

Eamonn Holmes has taken to Instagram to share a touching tribute to his daughter Rebecca, amidst rumours of a new woman in his life following his split from wife Ruth Langsford.

The news of the TV presenter's separation from Ruth first broke in late May 2024, after 14 years of marriage.

It was suggested that the couple had been living separate lives for some time, with their departure from This Morning cited as a significant factor in their breakup.

Reports have since emerged linking Eamonn to an unidentified blonde divorcee.

However, Eamonn has yet to confirm these rumours. Instead, he chose to dedicate a heartfelt post to his daughter Rebecca on Friday, June 7.

Sharing a selfie with his 33-year-old daughter, he wrote: "lots of folk posting about their daughters. Not many girls in The Holmes family but I have one who I love and adore."

Fans were quick to respond to the post, with one commenting: "Lovely photo.

"I've often thought to myself, I wonder what your daughter really thinks of Ruth because in my opinion I never liked the way she put you down, especially before a television audience."

Eamonn is a proud father to four children, three of whom he had with his former wife Gabrielle. The couple shared Declan, 35, Rebecca and Niall, 31, while Ruth is the mother of his youngest son, Jack, born on February 26, 2002.

A week after the shocking joint statement announcing their separation, the 64-year-old presenter is reportedly finding solace in the company of a blonde divorcee in her forties who works as a relationship counsellor.

It's said that Eamonn and this woman met last year and their friendship has been growing ever since.

The two have enjoyed several outings together, including a trip to a safari park. Eamonn has reportedly showered his friend with gifts, supported a charity related to her work, and even helped host a fundraiser.

Last year, Eamonn treated his close friend to a Beyonce concert and a visit to Centre Parcs, as well as tickets to see his favourite football team, Manchester United.

Unfortunately, this new friendship came as a shock to Eamonn's soon-to-be ex-wife Ruth, who learned about it through the media.

"Ruth was hurt when she learned about Eamonn's friendship with another woman", a friend of hers told The Daily Mirror.

In response, Ruth has chosen to focus on her own well-being and will be taking a break from her duties on the Loose Women panel for the remainder of June, 2024.

"She will be back soon with a smile on her face, putting her best foot forward, as she always does.

"She needs a bit of time to regroup after everything that's gone on, which is understandable, but she plans to return to Loose Women, with renewed vigour, in July."
