Following the BBC’s announcement of which professionals will be returning for Strictly Come Dancing in 2024, Express.co.uk hears from an expert about this year’s celebrity lineup. So far, fans are happy to see Amy Dowden make a comeback after she was forced to sit last year’s show out as she bravely battled cancer.

Giovanni Pernice also made headlines, as his name did not appear on the list of returning dancers. According to reports, the star’s conduct on the show is being looked into after several stars issued formal complaints about his behaviour.

Express.co.uk previously approached the BBC and Giovanni’s representatives for comment. Sharing her insights with us, celebrity astrologer Inbaal Honigman has discussed which celebrities she believes could join the lineup this year.

Last year, Coronation Street actress Ellie Leach came out on top alongside professional partner Vito Coppola. Speaking on behalf of Slingo, Inbaal lifted the lid on which famous athletes, actors and comedians could be taking to the floor this year.

The astrologer shared that an athlete “known for breaking boundaries” could appear on the show alongside another athlete who “found fame at a young age”. She said: “The cards show a lady who started young as an athlete and was known for her breaking of boundaries.

Mo Farah

“It shows a no-nonsense attitude and a sharp sense of humour. Her focus then changed to broadcasting and writing.

“Could it be Dame Kelly Holmes, a former athlete who then went on to achieve great success and popularity on TV and radio?” she suggested.

Inbaal went on to name long-distance runner Mo Farah, who has previously appeared on ITV’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!.

She said: “An athletic guy who found his fame and fortune at a young age is predicted by the Tarot.

“It shows a humble man, living a steady life. How wild would it be if Mo Farah was announced as a Strictly champion?”

She also indicated that Gavin and Stacey actor and comedian Rob Brydon could be destined for the dance floor.

“Bringing in the laughs, there’s a funnyman coming up in the cards,” she said. “A former TV writer or author, he has a penchant for travel and is known for his ability to make any destination appear fascinating.

“What are the odds that comedian Rob Brydon would light up our screens?”

The astrologer also mentioned “rule-breaking” US star Raven-Symoné, who previously appeared on the Disney Channel show That’s So Raven, as a potential contestant.

Peter Andre’s wife Dr Emily MacDonagh, who frequently makes her own media appearances, is also on Inbaal’s celebrity list for this year.

This year’s line-up of professional Strictly dancers includes Katya Jones, Dianne Buswell, Gorka Marquez, Johannes Radebe, Karen Hauer, Jowita Przystal, and Neil Jones taking to the floor once more.

Also returning are Vito Coppola, Nikita Kuzmin, Graziano Di Prima, Kai Widdrington, Nadiya Bychkova, Carlos Gu, Nancy Xu, Luba Mushtuk, Lauren Oakley and Michelle Tsiakkas.
