Netflix actor Henry Cavill is not ashamed to ask for a little bit of advice from fans.

The Witcher star took to Instagram on Sunday to wish his followers a Happy Father's Day.

Whilst doing so, he asked fans for some "parenting tips" as he prepares to welcome his first child with his girlfriend Natalie Viscuso.

The 41-year-old actor, who is being replaced by Liam Hemsworth on The Witcher, uploaded a very rare glimpse into his family life by sharing a handsome selfie from the nursery, which looked as though it had already been decorated.

Henry, who is rumoured to be the next James Bond, and Natalie, 34, announced they were expecting a child together when they announced the exciting news back in April.

"Oh yeah.....and Happy Father's Day ye dads out there. Turns out I shall be joining your hallowed ranks soon! Any tips??" the soon-to-be dad penned.

He then playfully pointed out: "And don't worry, pillows won't be in the crib when the wee one arrives, just glue and scapels so he or she can build Warhammer miniatures." (sic)

Thousand of Henry's 26.9 million followers were quick to share their best parenting tips in the comment section.

One fan @lifefeelssogood wrote: "Just relax and enjoy being a dad its a lot of work day and night. I hope it goes really well with all. Maybe take a break with movies to be a dad fulltime." (sic)

As @sherribemis shared: "Welcome to having to give disclaimers for every photo you post as a parent from now on because….internet trolls." (sic)

And fellow dad @mike.barrett89 wrote: "From one dad to another, just take it all in and enjoy. There will be highs and lows. Also, mums are incredible humans. Just make sure they know that."

While @vendiel sweetly added: "They grow up so fast.. especially in the first year (the first few months are crazy).. so just make sure to cuddle as much as you can during that time! You will regret it otherwise, I promise." (sic)

Elsewhere in the comment section fans congratulated Henry on becoming a dad.
