Denise Welch and Kaye Adams clash over Aintree protests

Loose Women sparked speculation on Tuesday (June 18) as it appeared a feud had broken out between two panelists as it was taken off air early. ITV was making room for coverage of the Royal Ascot horse racing, but as it ran for half an hour less the panel still found time to bicker at each other.

Denise Welch was on the panel alongside host Kaye Adams and colleagues Brenda Edwards and Janet Street-Porter. Together, the Loose Women ladies discussed a range of different topics, including US President Joe Biden.

As always, Denise became passionate about what she was saying. However, it was later reported that the former Waterloo Road star had been "trying to silence" her co-star, Kaye, with a "brutal gesture" while launching into a "furious rant".

Just hours after the show aired, Denise responded directly to the claims on her Instagram account. Posting to her stories, screenshotting one of the articles, she wrote: "Well blow me down! I thought I had a lovely @loosewomen today with my mates Kaye Adams, Brenda Edwards and Janet Street Porter. But apparently not."

She fought her own corner, as she added: "In just a half hour show, I ranted, was furious, rude and brutal. If I'd been a man of course I'd be 'passionate' but hey ho."

Later, Kaye Adams supported her co-star as she too squashed the claims of a feud. She reshared Denise's Instagram post to her own stories, as she added: "Complete tosh!!!"

Fans of the ITV show will be gutted to find that it has since been pulled from air for two days. Again, the broadcasters are prioritising sporting events over catching up with Loose Women.

Loose Women usually airs every weekday from 12:30pm until 1:30pm, however, it has been scrapped on Wednesday, June 19, and Thursday, June 20.

Viewers will instead be greeted by the ITV lunchtime news, running for 30 minutes. This will be followed by coverage of the UEFA tournament on both days at 1pm.

ITV will broadcast the game between Croatia and Albania, which kicks off at 2pm. On the following days, viewers can watch the clash between Slovenia and Serbia, also kicking off at 2pm.

Loose Women airs weekdays at noon on ITV and ITVX
