Morning Live's Gethin Jones delighted his Instagram followers with a charming snapshot featuring his elder sister Mererid, as he makes the most of his summer break while the popular BBC show takes a hiatus until late August.

The 46 year old presenter, who cut a stylish figure in a taupe double-breasted jacket, was captured in a warm pose with Mererid, who donned an eye-catching polka dot dress. However, the caption revealed that their sibling gathering soon experienced a mishap.

Gethin humorously shared: "All going well, until i spilt the baby Guinness. @mereridj," and showcased the unfortunate spill in a follow-up image within the post. The TV personality's fans were quick to shower the pair with compliments on their appearance.

Morning Live colleague Justine Jones chimed in with praise, saying, "Look at you 2 beauties," Another admirer complimented Mererid's attire, remarking, "That's a lovely dress! ".

A third fan praised their family traits, writing, "Great genes," and another added, "She's still beautiful even with the splash of Guinness". Meanwhile, one commenter lightheartedly lamented, "What a waste of a baby Guinness.", reports Wales Online.

Born and raised in Cardiff, Gethin and Mererid spent their childhood in the Llandaff North area of the city.

Gethin seems to be putting his break from Morning Live to good use, as he also took the opportunity to catch up with his pal Sara Cox.

Gethin couldn't resist sharing his experience trying out Sara's new wine collection, posting: "Trying some of @djsaracox new collection! Now I've tasted some tipples in my time, but I have to say, these were up there with the best! Gorgeous day with @perfect_cellar. Lovely bunch of people/grapes. Try the Chablis".

Radio 2's very own Sara Cox was quick to reply, expressing her delight: "So ace to see you matey, thank you for being brilliant fun vibes as always."

The post naturally drew a flurry of excitement from Gethin's fans, with many showing an interest in sampling Sara's vino. One follower praised: "Great choice of wines. Best of luck @djsaracox".

Another fan enthused: "The rose though! Sensational," and yet another added: "Sara never seems 2 age! ! ! Just like a bottle of wine, gets better".

Viewers can look forward to Morning Live's comeback on Monday, August 26, after the current Olympic hiatus.
