The Dragon's Den entrepreneur, aged 40, took to the stage with professional dancer, Aljaz Skorjanec, in the 2021 series of the hit BBC show. Despite never seeing herself as a potential winner, Sara expressed immense gratitude for Aljaz's unwavering support and dedication.

In an exclusive chat with the Daily Star, following her announcement as the new face of Avon UK, Sara gushed over her time with Aljaz, saying: "As a trainer and mentor, he was absolutely off the chart."

Delving into the reasons behind her positive experience, she added: "I think the reason I had such a phenomenal experience is because his whole raison d'etre on the show was me having an amazing time. I felt I was never going to be a contender to get to the final or the semis."

With a candid reflection on her aspirations, Sara continued: "I just wanted to make the most of the time that I had. So he put all of his energy into making sure I enjoyed every minute.

"I loved all the time that we had in the rehearsal room, and because we were up North, and I had to fit around my schedule, we had to work really funny hours," reported the Daily Star.

Sara further shared the lengths Aljaz went to accommodate her on the BBC show and beyond, as she said: "Whatever I needed, he used to be there with a big smile on his face ready for a cup of coffee at six o'clock on a morning when we got going.

"It was just fabulous. It was honestly one of the happiest times of my life."
