Robbie Williams stunned the Creamfields festival goers with an electrifying finale to his set. The pop legend graced The Arc stage on Sunday with his new electronic outfit, Lufthaus, promising the raving audience some "surprises" at the show's climax.

His bandmates Tim Metcalfe and Flynn Francis, hailing all the way from Australia, watched in awe as Robbie dipped into his rich songbook of hits.

The festival was sent into a frenzy of nostalgia as the unmistakable strumming of 'Angels' filled the air, prompting Robbie to quip: "See, I told you they know me."

A unified chorus rose as the crowd belted out the lyrics to the 1997 hit, capturing the spirit of unity that Creamfields is famed for.

With Creamfields being a staple in the dance music scene, Robbie's twist to the agenda certainly took fans by surprise when he remarked: "You weren't expecting this on your Sunday evening were you? ", reports the Liverpool Echo.

Moved by the heartfelt reaction and the sight of tears among the audience members, which was caught by ECHO photographers, Robbie expressed his gratitude: "Love you guys, thank you for being so kind."

Closing their unforgettable act, Lufthaus served up a rendition of the trance anthem 'Born Slippy,' cementing their place in the hearts of festival-goers. Formed just last year, Lufthaus joined a glittering roster of artists on Creamfields' final day, leaving an indelible mark on this venerable celebration of dance music.

The final day of the Creamfields festival in Daresbury, Cheshire, saw performances from big names such as Alesso and Fatboy Slim. Thousands of music lovers travelled to the event for an unforgettable four-day experience.

The festival is particularly popular with Merseysiders, who make the short trip to see some of the world's best DJs perform. Calvin Harris was the star attraction on Saturday night, and festival-goers were not ready for the party to end on the last day.
