Breakfast Club stars to reunite for Hughes tribute
The kids of cult movie THE BREAKFAST CLUB are to reunite again this weekend (18Sep10) for a tribute to late director JOHN HUGHES.
Molly Ringwald and her castmates will be part of a Hughes celebration planned by the Film Society For Lincoln Center in New York, and she hopes this tribute is bigger and better than the moviemaker's 2010 Oscars nod, in which she and other Hughes regulars presented a montage of clips.
Ringwald tells BlogTalkRadio.com, "I thought it was a really lovely tribute at the Oscars (but) they shortened the clips and I couldn't really figure out why the horror clips were so long.
"They had this big tribute to horror films, which was twice as long as John's tribute. I thought that was a little odd but it was a lovely tribute and just about everybody showed up for it and I was really happy to see that.
"I really feel like I made my peace with him. He became a recluse and really wasn't working and I wasn't doing films with him any longer, so I really feel proud of the films I did make with him."
