Galliano fired by Dior
Fashion king JOHN GALLIANO has been fired by bosses at Christian Dior over claims he made anti-Semitic and racist remarks during two drunken rants last month (Feb11).
The company's head designer has been under mounting pressure following allegations he abused two strangers in Paris, France and was caught on video talking about his "love" for Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler.
He was suspended by bosses at Christian Dior pending the outcome of a probe by French cops - but on Tuesday (01Mar11), a company spokesman announced Galliano has now been released from his contract.
Dior's chief executive Sidney Toledano says, "I very firmly condemn what was said by John Galliano, which totally contradicts the essential values that have always been defended by the House of Christian Dior."
