The face of BBC2’s Springwatch says her active role is also doing wonders for her rear.
“The countryside is good for you,” she tells this week’s Radio Times.
“It’s great for your brain and great for your soul and great for your bum. You win all round.”

Kate, who recently quit London for the Wye Valley on the Anglo-Welsh border with her TV producer husband Ludo Graham, added: “It takes away your inhibitions. I can’t be the only person who gets to the top of a hill and thinks: ‘I don’t care that I’m 42 – I’m going to roll down it.’”
It is not the first time uninhibited Kate has revealed her love of going back to nature.
In an interview in 2007 she revealed: “One of life’s joys is dancing naked in the sun. It makes me feel so good.”
