Moore's pain over Fawcett death
SONIC YOUTH rocker THURSTON MOORE was "heartbroken" when FARRAH FAWCETT died - as watching the actress during her TV heyday helped him survive a "desperate, penniless" existence in New York.
The Charlie's Angels star lost her battle with cancer in 2009, and the tragedy was especially poignant for Moore as he was a huge fan of the actress.
And he's confessed her TV appearances in the 1970s got him through his dark days in the Big Apple before he found success as a musician.
Moore tells Mojo magazine, "When I was living alone in my apartment in 1977, on E13th Street in New York, I had a very unhealthy fascination with Farrah Fawcett-Majors... I found her very entrancing, like an angel on my screen. She got me through some very desperate, penniless days! When she passed away, I was heartbroken."
