Gallagher eyes new supergroup
NOEL GALLAGHER wants to follow in the footsteps of SIR MICK JAGGER by forming a supergroup with his idols.
Rolling Stones frontman Jagger teamed up with Joss Stone, Eurythmics rocker Dave Stewart, Bob Marley's son Damian, and composer A.R. Rahman earlier this year (11) to record tracks under the moniker SuperHeavy.
Former Oasis star Gallagher admits he would love to form a collective of his own - but insists he would have a cooler choice of collaborators, including ex-Smiths guitarist Johnny Marr and Stone Roses bassist Gary 'Mani' Mounfield.
He tells TheQuietus.com, "I'd love to do a supergroup as long as it wasn't like SuperHeavy. F**king ridiculous. You know, me, Johnny Marr, Mani, and Paul Weller. That would be great."
