Ryan Gosling 'to play Luke Skywalker's son in upcoming Star Wars Episode VII'
HE may be busy filming his directorial debut, but it seems that Ryan Gosling may have found the time to do some acting too.
The 32-year-old star is rumoured to be in last minute negotiations to star in the upcoming Star Wars movie, 'Star Wars Episode VII.'
According to reports, Gosling will play Luke Skywalker's son in the highly-anticipated sci-fi film.
Kellvin Chavez, who writes for Latino-Review.com, claimed: "What I was told for sure is the Gosling went in for Skywalker’s son. Yes, that’s right Luke’s kid."
However, a rep for the Hollywood heartthrob has denied the rumours, telling the New York Daily News that it's "not true."
And earlier this year, Gosling himself admitted that he was considering taking a break from acting, but perhaps the Star Wars role was too good for him to turn down.
If he does agree to do it, the Canadian will be starring alongside original Star Wars actors Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford.
Meanwhile, another younger star who is rumoured to be joining the cast is High School Musical's Zac Efron.
The 25-year-old is said to be playing Han Solo's son in the film, which is expected to start shooting early next year.
