Matt Cardle complains as he's left out of X Factor mash up marking 10th anniversary
A STAR-STUDDED mash-up video has been unveiled ahead of the new series of X Factor, which will mark the show's 10th anniversary.
However, some acts will undoubtedly be left feeling pretty miffed after they failed to make an appearance in the three and a half minute clip.
Matt Cardle, Steve Brookstein and Rebecca Ferguson are among the acts that have been cut from the advert, which debuted on YouTube yesterday.
One Direction, Leona Lewis, and Olly Murs, along with other alumni such as James Arthur and Shanye Ward feature on the compilation, which mashes together each of their singles and videos.
The tracklist includes 1D's What Makes You Beautiful, Leona's Bleeding Love, DNA by Little Mix, Olly Murs's Heart Skips A Beat and Union J's Carry You.
Misha B and Amelia Lilly also appear, despite only getting to third and fourth place in the 2011 series.
The ad is complete with impressive stats, showing that during its min-year reign, The X Factor had produced 57 UK chart hits, including 33 number ones.
A show spokesman said: "The Ultimate X Factor Mash-Up is a medley of hits from a selection of series winners and other artists.
"Having produced 57 UK chart hits across nine series, it wasn't possible to feature all of these songs, or the artists behind them on a three minute track.
Matt Cardle - who won the 2012 series of the show - was noticeably missing from the track, which prompted his manager to complain.
Will Talbot told Digital Spy: "It is very disappointing to see Syco, yet again, attempting to erase Matt from the history books
"19 million people tuned in to watch him win (on their most successful series ever). Since then, he has been bizarrely blacklisted from appearing on The Xtra Factor, excluded from every video compilation celebrating the show and he now won't be featured in the X Factor 10th anniversary video which airs tonight.
"Since 2010, he has had two top ten albums, one of which went platinum, and his combined single and album sales exceed two million units. In light of this, for them to purposely keep excluding one of their winners is undeniably perplexing to say the least."
And Talbot insisted that Matt had not fallen out with the show or criticised it.
He continued: "In truth, it pretty much sums up Syco's attitude to him during the months after he inconveniently (for them) won the show. Unfortunately there is a misconception that Matt has slagged off the show and fallen out with Sony but this is not true.
"He once jokingly said in an interview that he 'compromised his integrity on The X Factor by wearing yellow trousers whilst singing Katy Perry songs'. Well, did you see those trousers?!
"Matt has repeatedly said how grateful he is to Simon [Cowell] and the show for the opportunity and how much he enjoyed being a part of The X Factor. He still feels that way. This reflects very badly on Syco."
