Lindsay Lohan to star on the West End stage
ACTRESS Lindsay Lohan is to make her West End debut by appearing in Speed-The-Plow at London’s Playhouse Theatre this autumn.
Ready for my close-up
The controversial star, 27, more synonymous recently for her stints in rehab and compiling a list of celebrities she’s allegedly slept with, has landed the part of the secretary in David Mamet’s play.
Interestingly she’ll be reprising the role made famous by Madonna in the same production in 1988, which was the Material Girl’s Broadway debut in New York.
The show, which last appeared on the London stage in 2008 starring Kevin Spacey, Jeff Goldblum and British actress Laura Michelle Kelly, will start its run on September 24.
Speculation has been mounting over Lindsay’s West End involvement since she posted a photo on Twitter showing her standing outside a stage door in the capital with the caption: “Ready for my close-up.”
Now we know why.
