But it seems not all his fellow campmates are amused by his antics.
When the former Wigan star tried to cheer the group with a sing-song Michael Buerk was left less than impressed.
The journalist said: "You have to be down there to feel the atmosphere. The weather’s grim which confines us even more to this space that we’ve been occupying for the last fortnight, so we’re going quietly mad, or in Jimmy’s case, noisily mad!"

Michael continued: "We’ve been through practically every song in the pop music repertoire over the last thirty years – all of them have been murdered in one way or another."
"I’m afraid Jimmy and Foggy are appalling singers but if the Gestapo had had Jimmy and Foggy around I’m sure a lot of agents would have cracked a lot sooner."
To get his own back the Michael decided to jump out on the 36-year-old prankster when he was least expecting it, causing him to swear in surprise.
"F*** you," a shocked Jimmy shouted, making Michael laugh.
Delighting in the fact he'd managed to trick the trickster the BBC broadcaster exclaimed: "Got ya!"
However, Nadia and Jake did find Jimmy's song about jungle life funny as he shrieked and banged a tin around the camp.
But even Jake found the performance tested his patience.
The X Factor finalist said: "Jimmy started his own song. To start with this was alright, but then it went on and on.
"It came to a stop. Everyone took a big sigh of relief and then it went on and on."
Defending himself, Jimmy said: "When you’re in camp you get a bit bored so you find stuff to keep you entertained."
