The 54-year-old teamed up with Nike to announce the release of their Air Mag trainers on the very same date his character Marty McFly travelled to in Back To The Future II.
Posting a video of himself trying his new kicks on, Michael looked thrilled to be creating the future.

It’s certain fans of the sci-fi franchise will be just as excited, as the Nike MAG trainers were an important part of the second film.
Testing the shoes out for the first time, Michael enthused: "That’s insane. It’s really great."
Nike shoe designer Tinker Hatfield teased the special gift via a handwritten note to the legendary actor.
He said: "Almost thirty years ago we embarked on a journey to create a glimpse into 'the future'.
"Although the project started as science fiction, we’re now proud to turn that fiction into fact.
"As the first, most celebrated wearer of the Nike Air Mag, we wanted you to be the first to receive a living pair."
The letter added: "In Addition To Your Personal Pair, We’re Creating More Pairs For Support In Aid Of The Michael J. Fox Foundation In 2016."
The foundation is dedicated to eliminating the disease and was set up by the actor after he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s aged 29.
Nike Air Mags are due for release next year.
