The music mogul clearly couldn't hold his tongue when he made a jibe at Amanda Holden's expense as they stepped out at the latest round of Britain's Got Talent auditions.
Simon made a hilarious dig at co-judge Amanda's luckless marriage to comedian Les Dennis - who she was married to for eight years.
According to the Daily Star, the incident occurred when a dance troupe took to the stage dressed in dinosaur costumes, ready for a T-Rex inspired performance.
As she greeted the contestants, the 44-year-old said: "I can see the dinosaur winking at me, it's flirting with me. It's not the first time I've been flirted with by someone prehistoric."

To which Simon quipped: "Leave Les [Dennis] alone."
Evidently unimpressed with Simon's remarks, Amanda threatened to throw her cup of water over him in a bid to get her own back.
There's no doubt Amanda made the threat in all seriousness, as she previously chucked water all over BGMT host Stephen Mulhern after he jokingly compared her to plastic surgery to that New York socialite Jocelyn Wildenstein.
Amanda - who was relatively unknown when she tied-the-knot to the the Coronation Street actor in 1995 - was just 24-years-old when she walked down the aisle, while Les was 18 years her senior, aged 42.
