Peter Stringfellow died aged 77 this morning following a year-long battle with cancer, his publicist has confirmed.
Now, his emotional statement about his wife, whom he married in 2009 when she was 27-years-old, has been unearthed.
The entrepreneur, who shares two young children with Bella, admitted his hopes that she would re-marry once he was gone in a candid interview with the Mirror.
“I’d really want her to get married again,” he said.

“She’s still going to be a beautiful young woman when I’ve gone and she is smart enough to make sure whoever she chooses will fit in with her and the children,” Peter told the publication.
He also hit back at criticism that welcoming the second of their two children at the age of 75 was irresponsible.
“It’s not,” he said. “Younger parents separate and divorce, leaving the children to wonder why. But that will never happen to my two.
“I’m there till the end,” he added. “They will always have great memories of me and know I totally adored them.”
The Stringfellows mogul went on to reveal the provisions he had made for his children in the event of his passing.
“They’ll have a wonderful mother and two great families on standby,” he insisted. “Whatever I have left goes to them.”
In recent years, the so-called “King of Clubs” revealed his battle with lung cancer, after keeping his condition secret since he was first diagnosed in 2008.
His publicist has confirmed to Express.co.uk that he died of a separate illness, having previously recovered from the lung cancer.
They said he died in the early hours of this morning, surrounded by his family.
Another publicist for Peter, Matt Glass, broke the news of his death, saying: “Known as the King of Clubs, Peter will be remembered for his flamboyant style, charismatic personality and for being a magnet for celebrities across the planet, with A-list stars across six decades flocking to perform and party at his various clubs around the world.”
He said the star’s eponymous celebrity hotspot club in London’s West End will continue to operate “as normal”.
Stringfellows first opened in 1980 and has seen hundreds of A-listers frequent the club over the years.
Peter's legendary venues have hosted the likes of The Kinks, The Rolling Stones and Fleetwood Mac.
He kickstarted his career in 1962 and grew to own venues from London to New York and Los Angeles.
Peter is survived by wife Bella, four children and four grandchildren.
