Love Island 2018: Zara McDermott avoided romp with Adam Collard over fears of losing JOB
LOVE ISLAND 2018 star Zara McDermott has opened up about how she wasn’t able to get intimate with her beau Adam Collard on the show, in order to avoid putting her career as a government advisor in jeopardy.

The 21-year-old caused a stir amongst Love Island 2018 contestants last month as she entered the villa alongside co-star Ellie Brown.
Zara went on to strike up a romance with Geordie hunk Adam, before the star was later voted to leave the island by her male co-stars.
Following her exit, the government advisor has now opened up about the prospect of having sex on TV, and why she chose against getting intimate during her time on Love Island 2018.
Admitting that she was concerned she could have compromised her career as a Whitehall insider, the Essex-based beauty admitted she had found it “difficult”.
Speaking to The Sun on Sunday, she said: “I really fancied Adam and it was difficult not to take things further.

“Who isn’t tempted when you’re really into someone? We were unbelievably close, inseparable.”
Zara continued: “It was tough when I was in bed with a man I really liked and cared about.
“But I was nervous about my job if I had sex on screen.”
The reality TV personality went on to explain that she had to been very aware that behaving outrageously could compromise her job.
“There is a strict code of conduct you have to follow,” she spilled. “So I was very conscious about everything I said and did.
“My job holds a bit of clout and I’ve done some pretty amazing things, so it’s not something I wanted to jeopardise.”
Last month, it emerged that Zara’s job could be at risk, if she didn’t “abide by the civil service code” during her time on the show.
A source told The Sun: “She said she was taking a career break to work on TV but did not give specific details.
“She needs to be very careful because the rules are quite vague about what would be deemed bad behaviour so she could end up getting sacked.”
Earlier this week, Adam was dumped from the island during a dramatic episode which saw four contestants sent home.
Love Island: Adam has NOT spoken to Zara since leaving the villa
Following his exit, the 22-year-old teased he could be set to pursue his romance with Zara.
Taking to Instagram, the personal trainer gushed over the support he’d received, in a heartfelt post shared with his 607,000 followers.
Adam went on to turn his attention to his plans for the near future, as he hinted he could be hoping to rekindle his recent romance.
As part of the lengthy post, he wrote: “My time in this villa was amazing but I’m just as excited to see what’s around the corner.
“But my first and only real intention is to go chase a special girl from Upminster as I’d already won the best prize in Love Island the moment she walked in…”
Love Island continues tonight on ITV2 at 9pm; Love Island: Aftersun follows at 10pm.
