Carol Vorderman Twitter: Star predicts ‘mischief’ on radio show as she unveils SHOCK guest
CAROL VORDERMAN appeared unable to contain her excitement on Twitter yesterday, as she updated her followers about who would be joining her on BBC Radio Wales tomorrow morning.
Carol Vorderman shares hilarious radio horror story
Carol Vorderman took to the airwaves for her new Sunday morning radio show on BBC Radio Wales last week.
The former Countdown star is set to return for a second instalment of the series tomorrow morning.
Last night, the 57-year-old couldn’t help but share her excitement for the upcoming episode on Twitter.
Writing in view of her 378,000 followers, the mathematician spilled all on which TV star who is set to join her in the studio.
Responding to a tweet shared by her producers of the radio show, Bengo Media, Carol expressed her delight about her pal Jane McDonald starring in the episode.
I’m chatting to my lovely friend Carol tomorrow morning
“Can't wait to chat to Lady BAFTA herself....my mate @TheJaneMcDonald....xx,” she penned.
The TV favourite then went on to urge fans to get involved in the show by getting in touch with the broadcaster.
“Send us your stories too,” Carol wrote, before excitedly adding: “Roll on Sunday xxxx.”
Jane, 55, also took to Twitter to tell her 134,000 Twitter followers about her debut on Carol’s show.
“I’m chatting to my lovely friend Carol tomorrow morning,” the singer announced.
After seeing her friend’s tweet, the former Loose Women presenter replied: “Hooray hooray xx.”
Carol went on to explain how she couldn’t wait to make “some mischief” on her weekly radio show in the morning.
Writing on Twitter, she admitted: “Looking forward to some mischief making tomorrow morning on @BBCRadioWales xx 9.30am…”
Last week, Carol opened up about a rather unfortunate blunder which she claimed had led to being sacked.
The TV favourite told listeners she was reprising her role as a radio presenter for the first time in decades - after first taking to the airwaves back in Leeds as a young adult.
Recalling the incident, she said: “This is actually the first time I’ve hosted a radio show for 35 years! I think I was sacked last time.
“Yeah, I think I was sacked last time because I had a request show,” she spilled. “I was only in my 20s, on a commercial station in Leeds where I used to live and where we used to do Countdown.”
The star then explained a listener had called the station after their wife had been rushed in to hospital, with Carol going on to dedicate the next track to the patient.
Taking a trip down memory lane, the presenter divulged: “I said, ‘Lyndsey was rushed into Accident and Emergency last night, and her husband George is praying that she’s going to be OK, and we’re wishing you all the best Lyndsey, and this song is specially for you’."
But, much to her dismay, Carol revealed Frank Sinatra’s hit track My Way began to play - which begins with the lyrics: “And now, the end is near, and so I face the final curtain.”
Sunday Morning with... Carol Vorderman continues tomorrow on BBC Radio Wales at 9.30am.
