It’s Strictly goodbye
BACK from the Strictly tour I am today having my hair cut and the last traces of my great dancing adventure will disappear on the hairdresser’s floor.
Our last performances were in Glasgow so Craig wore a kilt which meant that I had to do all the moves when I was on the floor with my eyes shut. That was why I didn’t see disaster coming when he stepped over me and his kilt caught my microphone, ripping it from my face and breaking it. But I felt it. That, however, was all I did feel. I appear to have survived the whole tour without any bruises, breakages or sprains despite being flung about sometimes twice in a day.
Matt achieved a record with 26 wins out of 35 shows, despite having a trapped nerve in his back so congratulations to him, especially as he was combining the tour with continuing to film Countryfile. And thanks to all the others who treated me like granny throughout and made sure I never had to carry a case or step in a puddle or get cold! Good luck in all the auditions to which so many fellow hoofers are now returning and I look forward to seeing the professionals back on our screens in the autumn.
