Why parking is now so tricky
REMEMBER the brain boxes who dreamed up monster super-sized value-for-money cereal packets?
They were fab. They were terrific. There was just one problem – they were too huge to fit in our kitchen cupboards.
Now they’ve done the same with our motors. We’re getting broader in the beam so we need extra space.
What’s more, we’re extremely partial to giant cars with all sorts of snazzy bells and whistles. So our vehicles are expanding prodigiously and, guess what, we can’t park the blighters.
Until we lay off those pies or learn to love dinky cars, driving is all about dents, biffs and bent bumpers.
