Treachery by another name
HALF a century ago, a group of men spilled the beans on Britain's military and political secrets and then fled to Moscow, since when the names Burgess, Philby and Maclean have rightly been reviled as synonyms for treachery.

In what way, pray tell, do they differ from Edward Snowden, who has done exactly the same thing to his own country and ended up in exactly the same place? He's being spoken of as some kind of freedom fighter.
