Justice was not done
LUKE Voyce, who is having a sex change and now goes by the name of Laura, has been convicted of downloading child pornography.
Yet this miserable creature has been spared prison because Judge Lesley Newton ruled that being locked up with men would prove such a difficult experience.
Once again the justice system has put the rights of a criminal ahead of those of the victims and potential future victims of crime.
Voyce should have thought about how appalling a prospect imprisonment might prove before committing these sickening offences. One rule should be applied consistently to offenders whether they are male, female or of an indeterminate gender: if you can’t do the time don’t do the crime.
