Are our MPs too greedy?
MPs ALREADY accused of lining their pockets at the taxpayers’ expense yesterday demanded a 35 per cent pay rise.
They want the astonishing sum to replace their lavish second-homes allowance of up to £22,100.
The £23,000 pay rise, which would take a backbenchers’ salary to around £85,000, will dismay and outrage voters facing a tide of rising prices and bills.
Do MPs want to much?
Do they get enough already?
