Tamara revs up
IT COULD be handbags at dawn at this weekend’s Singapore Grand Prix as members of racing dynasties try to draw the best crowd to their parties.
Famous faces enjoying Formula 1 traditionally head to the Amber Lounge, a post-race bash founded by Sonia Irvine, sister of ex-Ferrari driver Eddie Irvine. But Sonia faces tough competition from the Official Formula 1 Lounge, run by billionaire Bernie Ecclestone’s daughter Tamara, 25.
Tamara is sure to draw a high-profile crowd as people look to keep in with her F1 supremo father. And while the Amber Lounge charges £500 for entry, the Official Lounge can be accessed for £220.
“The Lounge is the official party where the fans can enjoy the whole experience,” says Tamara.
So with the rival parties taking place just yards apart in the Conrad and Pan Pacific hotels, it remains to be seen who drivers will support.
