Swayze dance offer
AFTER his seemingly miraculous fight back from cancer is Patrick Swayze poised to dust down the ballet pumps and return to the role that shot him to fame more than 20 years ago?
Hollywood producers have bombarded him with offers of work and, according to insiders, at the forefront is a sequel to his 1987 hit Dirty Dancing.
Swayze was given weeks to live after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in March. But his positive spirit and months of chemo have, it seems, turned his fortunes round.
This week Patrick – who describes his survival so far as “a miracle” – looked the picture of health as he returned to work filming a new FBI-inspired TV series The Beast.
Now Patrick, 55, is being wooed to appear in a long-awaited sequel to the hit movie. An LA film-maker confides: “It’s great news Patrick is so well and there are a lot of offers for him.
"Everyone wants him to star in a Dirty Dancing sequel. It’s just a matter of him making his mind up.”
