The Crimson Wing
THE Crimson Wing finds Disney reviving the natural history documentaries that were once a staple of their output.
Mariella Frostrup narrates a sensitive account of the pink flamingos who live on the waters of Lake Natron in northern Tanzania.
Like March Of The Penguins, the film follows the life-cycle of these birds and the hazards they face along the way, including the predatory Marabou storks.
It is a film of ravishing images and fascinating facts although David Attenborough’s BBC work is just as impressive.
VERDICT 3/5
