Twilight and The Hunger Games to 'RETURN for new movies' - but there’s ONE condition
TWO done-and-dusted franchises could be returning, if studio bosses get their way.
Twilight and The Hunger Games could be back
Today it is claimed that Lionsgate are keen to make more Twilight and The Hunger Games.
In a quarterly earnings call, reported by Den of Geek, CEO Jon Feltheimer said that he’s interested in reviving both series - but only if the original writers had the ideas.
“There are a lot more stories to be told, and we’re ready to tell them when our creators are ready to tell those stories,” he’s quoted as saying.
For Twilight, that creator is Stephanie Meyer; while for The Hunger Games it’s Suzanne Collins.

Kristen Stewart said earlier this year that she was eager to return to the Twilight series, which sent her profile stratospheric.
“I would definitely be the first to read [a new book], yeah,” she told PA.
Pattinson, meanwhile - who starred opposite Stewart - said producers threatened to fire him over his excessive brooding.
"I remember the producers giving me a copy of the book with every single instance where my character smiled highlighted,” he quipped.

The Hunger Games, meanwhile, starred Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson.
Between them, the four films they appeared in grossed over $2.9 billion worldwide.
