James Bond 25: Mark Strong CONFIRMED in new video? Is he the villain?
JAMES BOND 25, Daniel Craig’s final 007 movie, looks like it’s seen Mark Strong confirmed for the cast after his personal trainer posted a new video.
Michael Shannon discusses James Bond villain rumours
It’s set to start shooting this December at Pinewood Studios, but not much is known about Craig’s James Bond 25.
In fact no official casting announcements apart from the lead himself have been made.
Nevertheless it now looks like Strong has been confirmed by his personal trainer.
Giacomo Farci, posted a video of the actor working out, and strongly alludes that he’s starring in Bond 25.
The personal trainer for movies wrote on Twitter and Instagram: “Preparation for a new project?
“#JamesBond #007 #DanielCraig #MarkStrong #DannyBoyle #BarbaraBroccoli #MichaelWilson.”
Why else would Farci type out all those hashtags unless Strong was definitely cast in Bond 25?
Assuming he is, just who could the actor be playing?
Well Strong has made a name for himself as a regular British villain in Hollywood movies.
So playing a Bond villain would be the most obvious role for him.
However recently alleged insiders have claimed Craig’s final big baddie will be played by a woman.
And Helena Bonham Carter is the favourite at the bookies, while Angelina Jolie is also in the running.
Nevertheless Strong could maybe be a secondary villain or henchman like Dave Bautista’s Mr Hinx in Spectre.
Or he could be another employee of MI6, having played a sort of Q in the Kingsman movies.
Benedict Cumberbatch is also said to be linked to a Bond 25 role, but perhaps he and Strong are in the running for the same part?
James Bond 25 will be released in UK cinemas on October 26, 2019.
