FORTNITE Android has leaked ahead of the official release date with it becoming available to download right now - but there’s a big catch.

Fortnite Android is arguably the most anticipated mobile game launch for the rest of 2018.
It’s expected that Fortnite Android will be an exclusive for Samsung Galaxy devices for 30 days before a full Android launch in September.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is set to be revealed today when the Fortnite Android release date is also expected to be announced.
However, ahead of the Fortnite Android announcement the Battle Royale shooter has been hit by a leak.
Footage has emerged of a Samsung Galaxy device running a recent version of Fortnite.
XDA Developers obtained the first ever footage of Fortnite running on an Android device.
In a post online Fortnite was shown running on the Android-powered Samsung Galaxy S9+.
In the article XDA Developers editor-in-chief Mishaal Rahman said: “We obtained exclusive access to the Fortnite Mobile on Android installer APK which gave us insight into the game’s hardware and software requirements, upcoming items in the 5.2 patch, Samsung Galaxy Apps integration, and possible Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 release.
“Now, we have managed to bypass the game’s authentication requirements and enter a live game to record gameplay footage of Fortnite Mobile ahead of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9’s launch.”
Not only that but leakers have been circulating an unreleased APK file of Fortnite Android.
The APK of Fortnite Android, which players are able to download right now, runs on the following devices:
• Galaxy Note 8
• Galaxy A7 2017
• Galaxy on7 2016
• Galaxy S7/Edge
• Galaxy S8/Plus
• Galaxy S9/Plus
Express.co.uk is not sharing the link to where to download the leaked Fortnite Android APK and does not recommend it either.
An official announcement on Fortnite Android is due today so we advise fans wait and download it from the official Epic Games channels once it becomes available.
If players do download the APK there are no Android servers so the only way to play is to invite a friend on a different platform, FortniteIntel said.
You then have to make the Fortnite player on a different platform the party leader.
Epic Games previously revealed that Fortnite Android will bypass the Google Play Store and be available to download on their own dedicated installers.
Epic Games CEO, Tim Sweeney, said the Fortnite makers want “to have a direct relationship with our customers on all platforms where possible ... physical storefronts and middlemen distributors are no longer required.
“We believe gamers will benefit from competition among software sources on Android.”
However in the aftermath security experts issued a warning about the impact of not putting Fortnite Android on Google Play.
Speaking to Threatpost, Ben Herzberg, director of threat research at Imperva, said: “I think it’s a shame because this marketplace can do a lot in terms of security by protecting the end users through automated code reviews.
“It would make it easier for people to try to get people to install fake Fortnite applications, but also the minute that people are told to download the apps from another place, people become used to doing things that aren’t healthy for them.”
