Starfield deals: Cheapest Xbox and PC prices, Premium Edition UK, and PS5 release
One of the most anticipated games of the year is just around the corner, with Bethesda’s blockbuster title Starfield set to launch very soon. The action RPG is Xbox’s next big first-party game, with the release date scheduled for 6 September 2023 worldwide.
Sadly, PS5 owners will miss out on the game as it's only set to release on Xbox Series X, Series S, and PC. It will be available to buy as a standalone game – with a number of special editions – and available to download and stream from Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass, the Netflix-like subscription service available from Microsoft.
Starfield is already in the hands of reviewers, with the review embargo set to lift on 31 August. There's a lot of pressure on the title – the first new series launched by game studio Bethesda in more than 25-years – and players will be eager to get started as soon as the game hits (digital and physical) store shelves worldwide.
But you might not know that you could play the game early earlier if you upgrade to the Premium Edition.
Yes, if you don’t want to wait for reviews and want to get the Premium Edition then we’ve handpicked the best Starfield Deluxe Edition deal you can get right now for both Xbox Series X|S and PC. This unlocks early access to the game, so you can dive into the open-world (which boasts 1,000 planets to explore across the far reaches of the universe) before anyone else.
And if you don't have an Xbox yet, you can find the best Xbox deals so you don't miss out.
The best Starfield deals
Starfield is set to release on Xbox Series X, Series S, PC and Xbox Game Pass on September 6 but those who order the Deluxe Edition will be able to play a few days before.
The good news about the game being on Xbox Game Pass means you don’t need to worry about paying full price – so you can be playing Starfield without the worry of emptying your wallet.
But you’ll have to wait until the actual release date to play the game unless you pay full price for the Premium Edition.
ShopTo is currently selling a one-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for just £8.85 – a few pounds cheaper than it should be. Over the course of a year, those savings add up – saving you £25.68.
CDKeys also has Xbox Game Pass Ultimate keys for slightly cheaper at £7.79 if you want to save your pennies.
The best thing is that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate covers both Xbox and PC players so if you own either - or both - buying Xbox Game Pass Ultimate covers you for either platforms depending where you want to play.
That means if you buy now, you’ll be able to play the game for far less than buying it out right on both Xbox and PC for Game Pass subscribers.
But if you want to keep the base game and you don't want to worry about paying a monthly subscription then CDKeys has the best deals to go for.
You can get a Steam key and the Xbox editions of the game for a much cheaper price than buying it from GAME, Currys or Amazon.
But be quick because once the release date approaches, these keys will sell out fast and you don’t want to be left high and dry.
Starfield PC and Xbox Premium Edition: What's included?
If you want to get the Starfield Premium Edition then you'll have to be aware of what you'll be paying for.
It comes with the base game as well as the Shattered Space story expansion, the Constellation Skin Pack: Equinox Laser Rifle, Spacesuit, Helmet and Boost Pack, access to Starfield Digital Artbook & Original Soundtrack and up to 5 days early access.
These include the Deep Mining Pack which also come with a laser cutter and the Deep Mining Helmet.
It retails for £85.99 which is very expensive but as mentioned above, you can get Starfield cheap from key websites like CDKeys.
And if you don't own an Xbox, the good news is Microsoft is releasing some great bundles with the launch of the new Xbox Series S 1TB Carbon Black with Starfield included.
But if you want to save a little bit of money, you can purchase the console seperately and buy the Xbox version from CDKeys and save yourself some cash which comes out cheaper than buying the full bundle from Amazon.
