David Gray: Draw The Line
A STUBBLE-chinned Gray stares straight at us from the cover of Draw The Line – a portrait of a good bloke humbled by life but braced for whatever else it throws at him.
Album number seven is business as usual: solidly written songs steeped in melodrama but where the previous Life In Slow Motion was hushed this is full-throated stuff with guitars and pianos that race to crescendo, particularly on the rousing Fugitive that features a choir.
And say hello to Annie Lennox, giving it her all on Full Steam.
